Hello 2013 and Tumblr! I’ve missed you a lot. I wanted to apologize for not posting for the past few months… I’ve been very busy with school. Hopefully this year I can focus on my blog more, since I’ll be graduating soon! :)

I lost my iPhone 3GS last September that’s why I told myself that I will save until I can buy the iPhone 5 and before 2012 ended, I did it! I persuaded my Mom to get one for me even though my money was not yet ready lol. We’ve made a deal that my daily allowance will be reduced instead (hello broke Tom haha). I fell in love with it as soon as I touched it, oh and I chose the black one because, for me, it’s more sexier than the white. I’ve wanted an iPhone 4 or 4S, before, because of their quirky cases and now that there are a lot of them available for the 5th one I told myself that I must hoard and collect! Say hello to my very first which came from the online shop that I absolutely love, Butingtings! As the owner and my online friend, Jeka (we were dying to meet soon), posted on the shop’s facebook page I filled up an order form right away and got it as scheduled! I am obsessed with New York, the Stars and Stripes, and anything related to the USA! So I am really glad that I have this one. It’s both a statement maker and a head turner! :)

Here’s what I wore when I attended Bloggers United 4. Decided to wear something simple and black since I’m getting fat again lol just kidding. I wanted to show my inner Potterhead that’s why I’m wearing a SLYTHERIN shirt. Teehee. I paired it with a brown pants because they come together very well and my SM Accessories messenger bag for my camera. :)

I just love accessorizing! Got my spikes ring from a thrift shop here in Manila and my bird ring from my love, Butingtings! :) I feel like even though your wearing something laid back and simple, you can always spice it up by wearing cool and dapper accessories!

And yay! I finally had the chance to wear my boots. I might need to work on my confidence more because wearing something like these will definitely lead to different reactions. I just think to myself that no matter what people think about how we look, as long as you’re having a great time. Don’t give a sh*t about them. Smile and be who you are! :D

Last Saturday, December 15, my friend Michelle and I went to the most fashionable bazaar! It’s where bloggers from all over the Philippines (and sometimes, the world) gather in an event full of fun, fashion, and clothes! Mitch and I came early but the booths of the bloggers were already jam-packed! We had a hard time at first because, since it was our first time, we’re too shy but we found our way lol.

I love the tickets and the cute stamp! :)

Last October 27 was the show of Human for the Philippine Fashion Week S/S’13 and they’re trying to show us their “genes” by bringing two of the most in-demand reality TV stars. Kylie Jenner and Rob Kardashian from “Keeping Up with the Kardashians!” Human had its promo for free invites but unfortunately I wasn’t able to avail one. Luckily, they chose the SM Mall of Asia Main Atrium as their venue so that everyone can watch it! I just needed to be early and I absolutely did! I even watched the rehearsals hahaha.

This guy’s style is definitely preppy!

I’ve been obsessed with Dr. Martens since I saw Saab Magalona wearing them on her blog posts. Then I started looking for male fashion bloggers who wear them and if they look awesome too. David Guison, Miko Carreon and many more totally rocked these boots and that’s how I started fantasizing of having a pair since I am in no condition of buying lol.

As soon as my aunt from Los Angeles told me what I want for Christmas. I never hesitated and told her that I want a pair of the classic 1460 boot, black! Hahaha. I wrote it on a piece of paper and let my grandma who went there to give it to her. My aunt took quite a long time before she told me that she can buy one for me. I was being hopeless to be honest but as soon as she posted the picture on my facebook wall. My heart literally skipped a beat and I got really happy!!! Yesterday, we fetched my Grandma at the airport and as soon as we got home, she gave them to me! I was in awe when I saw them and immediately shouted thank you to my aunt thru skype.

I can’t wait to use them but I was quite worried that using this kind of shoes is really a big step for me since this will be my first time. I hope I can get good reactions lol. :))

Makiling Highlands

Last August 25th and 26th, my family and I went on an outing for my niece’s birthday celebration. It was held on Makiling Highlands Resort in Laguna. And here are some of the pictures I took during our trip.

We had a great time! Our laughter brought so much joy and life during those days. We even dominated one of the pool because of how large our family is and some of the swimmers had to transfer to other areas hahaha. And two weeks after this trip, we went on another trip again! (Which I’ll blog about later). I think this can be called my Summer Vacay since I attended summer classes last March up to May. :)

So as I was reading the blog of my friend, Jeka, I saw that she featured this online shop called the Hodge Podge. As soon as I’ve clicked the link and saw its facebook page, I was in awe and wanted to order ASAP. Their designs are so amazing I can’t decide what to pick BUT when I read that you can actually send the design/s of your choice and they can customize it for FREE! I know, how cool, right?!

I am obsessed with stars and stripes designs as of the moment, and the Deathly Hallows sign just proves how Potterhead I am lol!

Another thing, you can actually pick a color of the back of the cap!!! As for the transaction, well, I couldn’t say more! The shipping, price, and everything are just so awesome I can’t wait for my next order (as soon as I’m broke no more hahaha)! This was not the first time that I’ve been hooked with online shopping, this was the second specifically. Jeka owned an online shop too and it’s called Butingtings which also sells a lot of cool stuff, I am certain of that go check it out if you want iPhone cases, rings, different kinds of accessories!

But this was the first time that I’ve tried the shipping thing. At first I was worried, even though I’m just here in Manila, but I got no reason to worry because after 2 days I got my keychains!!!

Here are some of the designs which Hodge Podge already has but as what I’ve said earlier, you can always contact them if you want your own design. The price is really reasonable! I got my keychains for 100 bucks each and the shipping fee is 50 pesos if you’re around Manila. What are you waiting for guys? Happy shopping!!! :)

So last Sunday and Monday, my family and I went to Iba, Zambales at my aunt’s relative’s house. It was really planned at all, I reckon that unplanned trips are the best! No expectations, you just need to go with the flow and enjoy every moment! I definitely had a great time and forgot to bring my camera to some places, how stupid lol. Before the trip, I read that the weather will be bad and it really did, it rained almost our whole, approximately 5 hour, drive and didn’t even appreciate some of the views. We wanted to get out of the car to take pictures, but we can’t. Lesson learned, check the weather first before going on an adventure. Dad’s GPS was really helpful, we didn’t even ask for directions. :)

We planned to sneak a swim because the beach is just one cross away from the house. Sad news, the waves are crazy! Our faces didn’t even touch the water, we just felt the waves through our legs and feet. We did plan to be brave enough and go nearer but there’s this “navy” who told us that we must not risk our lives because there’s an “awiwit” which I had no idea, at first, what it was but I’ve learned that it’s kind of like a whirlpool where waves move in a weird way instead of just one direction (1D? Hahahaha).

Even the sand-castle-making of my cousins had to stop because Mom, who got super scared, told us to just go back at the house.

Excuse my armpit hair. Hahahaha!

Triple Birthday Celebration

Last August 3rd my friends and I went to SM Megamall to celebrate not just one but three, including mine, birthdays! So as expected it went really well, fun, and awesome! We had our lunch at Racks, we ate a lot (not that surprising, eh?) and we stayed quite longer than we planned to lol. One of my friend was late so we had to order another platter of rice for him which made us eat, as well, again! We ordered the Surf and Turf which consists of fish and chips, full pork ribs, carbonara, 3 side dishes (2 mac and cheese and 1 corn and carrots), and 2 pitcher of softdrinks. I failed to take pictures because almost all of us dig in as soon as the foods start to arrive hahaha.

Just before we finished eating; My friends, out of nowhere, showed us three little cakes with candles and “happy birthdays” in them! We, the three celebrants, were really surprised (I promise)! One of us almost cried too (not me)! Then they started singing a happy birthday song but I made them stop because it’s embarrassing hahaha.

We walked in the mall, for a while, just to ease off our pig-ness, we had quite a hard time walking too lol. After that we headed to Edsa Shang to have our desert at TCB Unlimited, which I posted about here, to enjoy unlimited cakes and coffee for only 150 bucks each! We really had a great time staying here, the cakes are delish and the ambiance is perfect! :)

It was a great way to celebrate my last birthday as a student and sharing it with awesome friends spiced it up more! Till next birthday celebration! Laters, baby. Hahahaha :))

I’ve noticed that I’m not posting anything here anymore. I am really busy, being a 4th year college student is pretty demanding. Doing reports and studying for quizzes and stuff. Luckily I had a free time this afternoon and got the chance to edit some of the pictures from my various folders lol.

Almost a Philippine Flag

Earlier this afternoon, we picked up my uncle at the airport and then we had a family dinner after. If you’re following my blog then you know that I, ~~very seldom~~, tend to write “short” and “rushed” outfit posts. Mainly because I have no one to take my photos and I don’t own a tripod, next is I don’t get a lot of chance to travel and go out and last, I am still working on my confidence because people will really look at you when you started doing poses and stuff. Luckily my sister, after a long request, took my pictures! I told her that she should learn because I might hire her as my photographer (for free haha).

What I’m wearing: printed shirt (Bench), shorts (Bench), Cap (Von Dutch), Watch (Kenneth Cole Reaction), Bracelets and black socks (SM Accessories), Shoes (VANS)

Whenever I go to any SM Department Stores, I always make it a point to check the Mens Accessories section and look for cool stuff! When it comes to spicing up your look by adding different types of bracelets, necklaces, rings, and many more… SM Accessories is a place to go guys! I’m also wearing my mustache Butingtings rings which made me realize that it’s been a while since I last purchased something from them. Go check their facebook page, I’m sure they got what you’re looking for!

Vintage VANS shoes which I got for like 2 years now and they still look nice and comfy, as always! I’m adding up a pair of VANS in my “what-to-buy-after-saving-and-not-saving” list lol

So if you’re wondering why the title of this post is Almost a Philippine Flag then that’s because the design of the shirt I’m wearing, somehow, looks like the Philippine Flag which contains of just 3 stars and A SUN and has the colors red and blue. I don’t know why I never see shirts, shorts, etc. that has the design of our own unlike US and UK. Maybe because we have a law/order that prohibits us from wearing anything that looks like exactly as our National Flag which makes me sad, honestly, because I think it’s also a way of saying that you’re proud of being a Filipino. Now if we’re wearing clothes with the US and UK flag design… What are we trying to convey???

Independence (Family) Day Photo Diary

Last tuesday was a non-working holiday so Mom told us that we’re going to SM Mall of Asia for some quality time. Everything went well, I bought my new school bag which I’ll blog about soon. I also end up taking pictures of the different views and stuff instead of family portraits, luckily Mom found a nice spot and I took their photos.

Before heading back home we had dinner at Emerald Garden near my mom’s office, something unforgettable happened that night. My stupidity was the main character so I’ll make it as confidential as possible hahaha. The food was delish and, as expected, I ate a lot!

Fun bonding time with your family is always great isn’t it? Everytime we’re hanging out as long as we’re together and talk about awesome stuff… We always end up having a cool, relaxing, and memorable experience! So my summer classes just ended and I have 1 week of vacay which I’m spending here in Rizal. I was so bored this afternoon that’s why I’ve decided to come upstairs and take some shots. I was kind of surprise after seeing all of them, I didn’t expect that I can take pictures this way. I just need time, lots and lots of it, a great light and a cool view then I can do this regularly! Now I am really craving for a 50mm lens! I wonder when will be the time I can finally have it, can’t save for it though because I have more priorities, specially now that I’ll be in my senior year which basically and mainly means “career”.

Last friday night, while waiting for my parents to pick me up at SM Megamall, I’ve decided to go to Cyberzone and look for new earphones because the apple ones which I got from my sister were acting up lately and the quality was starting to sound crazy. They’re not “in-ear” too which is a bad thing, I think, for me. My real plan was to buy those who cost like 300 bucks below but then I remembered that the pair, the cheap one, that I bought lasted for like two weeks. Good thing I saw this Philips pair that looked nice, they’re in-ear and they’re pretty cheap but branded! I texted my mom and asked if I can borrow money because my budget for last week was ruined, luckily she said yes and that’s why I bought it!

It comes with extra pairs of ear plugs, I picked color black because it will really suit my red iPod! At the very first time I tried them… I fell in love! They also got a 6-month warranty which is just awesome!

Another worth-it summer purchase! How about you guys, what are the cool things that you bought this summer?

The Coffee Beanery Unlimited

Last night, my friends and I went to Shangrila mall to try the unlimited cakes and coffee of “The Coffee Beanery”. For just 200, well if you’re their facebook fan you’ll get it for only 150 bucks, you’ll get to enjoy their awesome cake choices and hot or cold brewed coffee! How awesome right? :)

So when we got there we felt more excited by seeing how beautiful the place looks, we honestly had second thoughts because we’re not really sure if the promo was legit because 150 pesos is such a small amount for a place like this. Thankfully their hospitable crew, which we secretly called Mr. Congenialitybecause he’s cool like that, managed to explain the promo and took us into our table.

The place was really nice and the ambiance was just perfect plus the relaxing music of the mall added to the very inviting mood! Cravings, which is located beside The Coffee Beanery, also caters different salads! We really can’t wait for the cakes and Mr. Congeniality asked us if we would get the cakes of our choice or assorted. Because of too much excitement, we didn’t really look at the menu a lot and answered assorted right away. We were 5 so we’re served 5 sweet cakes and 5 glasses of cold coffee (you can choose Hot Coffee too)! My friends were really starving so I wasn’t able to take pictures of all the cakes, I only managed to take 3 out of 4 slices I had, yes I was hungry like that lol

This is the Custard Cake which is my FAVE-O-RITE! Not too sweet and you can really taste the creamy icing!

Their Dulce de Leche cake was nice too but I’m not sure if it’s too sweet or I just love the first one that I ate but fairly speaking this is a definite must try!

The 3rd one was the Choco-Caramel with Pastillas, I LOVE choco-caramel flavored cakes like seriously speaking, I LOVE THEM! The only con here, I think, is the missing pastillas that’s why the white icing kinda look like there’s a hole where the pastillas should be placed. Luckily my friend let me taste the one that’s in her cake and it just completed the loveliness of that slice!

On our 4th and last set of cakes, we felt really full and two of my friend just ordered hot coffee, which I didn’t have the chance to taste it because as I’ve said I was unexpectedly full. While waiting for our friend who took like forever just to get to the place, the 5 of us just started having pep talks, too bad for her because when she arrived, she was the only one who was eating.

Overall it was a great experience and an awesome treat for our sweet teeth and tummies! So I would like to say a big THANK YOU for The Coffee Beanery for those amazing cakes and coffee!
